Hey, I’m Dave
(he/him)
DZ, Dizzy, Zap, Zapper
I’m an outrageously regular human who’s pretty handy at capturing moments with a camera. I live in Hampshire with my beautiful wife, Emma.
I grew up in Devon, spending heaps of time out on Dartmoor or making surfing look difficult.
I haven’t always been a photographer though, more on that below… Whilst I live in Hampshire, I love to travel and have adventures. Recently I’ve been lucky enough visit Nepal, Antarctica and Sheffield!
Before photography, I spent over 12 years working as a paramedic on ambulances, in specialist response teams and on the air ambulance. I’ve witnessed the very best and the very worst that life has to offer.
It was truly a job like no other… that said it’s not that different to wedding photography. They’re both just dealing with people. Being able to make people feel comfortable in uncomfortable situations. You could argue that it was easier as a paramedic as I had Ketamine to help!
In 2025 I de registered as a paramedic and committed fully to photography. It was a scary leap into the unknown but I feel so lucky that I’m now able to call photography my job.
Things I love…
